Miss Olivia, 16 days old

My sister, the angel!

Tonight Simeon wanted to hear the story of Olivia's birth again. When I got to the part where he came to meet her at the hospital for the first time, I asked him what he thought she looked like. Without any hesitation and with all the sweetness that only a 2 1/2 year old can have, Simmy said, "An angel!"

Grandma and Olivia

A moment with grandma...Dawn Esther holding Olivia Esther!

Waiting for brownies

I am just waiting for Owen to come back from the store and I have a moment to ramble while all the babes are asleep. I am in the middle of creating a batch of brownies, and realised that we have inhaled another dozen eggs. Food seems to fly out of our home. O has gladly gone for me, certainly to test out the first car he ever has owned in his name, the Jetta we just bought off of our friend Andrea. I am loving doing laundry these days...it is amazing what a splash of pink does for the soul, in the midst of a sea of grey, navy blue, and red. I have had two full days with the three on my own with the kiddies, and while at times I feel outnumbered and somewhat overwhelmed, we are all fairing pretty well. Grace is evident in our home these days. I am determined to make a point of embracing these intense and fleeting moments with my kids as they are babes, not wanting to rush them to more independent stages. I say this mostly for myself, for the crazy moments in the future when I may forget this place, so I have a bookmark to return to, and centre me in what is really important.
